WHAT WE DO

Real knowledge, shared in person, signed off by your pharmacist.

Pharmacy students meet you at the kiosk and build the plan with you. Then a real pharmacist signs off on it, yours or our partner pharmacist if you don't have one.

  • A real human, in person.A real meeting at the pharmacy. The time it takes, in full confidentiality.
  • Science, shared simply.Pharmacy students who share what they learn, without jargon.
  • Signed off by a real pharmacist.Every plan is reviewed by a pharmacist before it gets to you.

02 · Our approach

Three things that change everything: someone with you, real listening, a plan that fits.

Mentorship

Steady human support, run by pharmacy students at Université Laval. From the first visit to the last step, you're not doing it alone.

Listening

Before the nicotine, there's you: your reasons, your habits, the people around you. We start there, without judgment, at your pace, and in full confidentiality.

The plan

A plan built around your life, and co-signed with your pharmacist so the science is always on your side.

03 · How it works

Three steps. That's it.

  1. 1

    The kiosk

Stop by the partner pharmacy. We start the conversation, no pressure.

  2. 2

    The evaluationCONFIDENTIAL

On the spot or by appointment, in person or virtual. We talk through what works for you, including any medication that fits.

  3. 3

    Your plan

A plan that's yours, signed off by a pharmacist, with follow-up. Even faster if you're with one of our partner pharmacists.

04 · Our vision

Where Pharmarrêt is going next.

Pharmarrêt isn't just a summer kiosk. It's a platform we're building, with one clear mission: keep human support going long after the pilot.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Nothing else like it in Quebec.

Plenty of apps exist to help you quit. None go this far on the human side. We're building a companion app that extends the in-pharmacy program, never replaces it, with a plan that evolves with you, real check-ins, and follow-up that's actually personal. Built here, for Quebec.

✷ IN ACTIVE DEVELOPMENT
LONG-TERM GOAL

Reaching the communities that need this most.

In parts of northern Quebec, 8 out of 10 people smoke. We want to be there, with the same care, the same patience, the same plan. Our goal: bring Pharmarrêt to those communities, one step at a time.

05 · Our team

Pharmacy students. The human side.

We're in our second year at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Université Laval. This summer, we're putting our pharmacy training and our time to work for people who want to quit smoking or vaping, with someone really there, and a plan that actually fits. Long term: extend the initiative across Quebec and back every journey with a dedicated app.

I came to Canada at an age when everything had to be rebuilt: a new language, a new culture, a whole new world. Today, being a doctoral pharmacy student is the result of years of perseverance and discipline. After graduating from Collège de Maisonneuve, I was admitted directly to the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Université Laval. Motivation: losing someone close to tobacco. Passions: horseback riding, pharmacotherapy, and human connection.

Lylou earned strong academic results throughout her studies. She's from Saint-Amable, on Montréal's South Shore, and spent a year studying physiotherapy at Université de Montréal before continuing in pharmacy. Passions: golf, building human relationships, and supporting others. Motivation: having grown up surrounded by family members who smoked, she wants to contribute to tobacco prevention and cessation.
